Hotels around the world are encouraging guests by mixing innovative high-end design with affordable prices. They are trimming costs as well as square footage - producing a new surge of stylish and compact rooms.

Recently Nova Interiors worked closely with JSJ Design to design, develop and manufacture the bedroom chairs for the latest hotel concept from Whitbread - "Hub by Premier Inn".

The concept is aimed at major UK cities, with the first Hub to open St. Martin`s Lane London in summer 2014. Whitbread aims to have around 40 " Hub by Premier Inn" hotels opened or in the pipeline by 2018.

"Hub by Premier Inn" is part of the new generation of efficient hotels that value honest prices and location over space. Rooms will be only 11.4 sq metres and will include a desk that folds into the bed, luggage space beneath the bed, an en suite bathroom, free Wi-Fi and a 40-inch smart screen television. A stay in one of the new "Hubs" will be 30% cheaper than in typical Premier Inn rooms.

The concept have been over two years in the making and prototyped every night at Premier Inn Kings Cross. During this time five rooms where on sale, receiving individual feedback from over 1,825 guests.

Nova were called in at the eleventh hour to provide their expertise, to develop an iconic chair design which fits seamlessly into this hi-tech, hi-design room concept.

With space in the room limited, the chair has a small footprint and castors which make maneuvering the chair in a tight space easy. The chair has elegant curves which give it a stylish appearance and comfortable feel.
